Wishes
One wish in common of children of divorce...That their parents would be back together, they would be a family again and all will live happily ever after.
Sadly, there is no Oz, your children are not Dorothy, unable to tap their heels together three time and go back to home in Kansas. However, some wishes can be granted.
Grantable Wishes:
Stop Fighting...
By now you probably believe I sound like a broken record "be civil in front of your children". Children really do stress about this, so agree on decisions relating to them. The arguing and fighting in front of them can lead to believing they have done something wrong and creates guilt for something they have no control over.
Involvement...
Stay involved in your children's lives; even if they do not live with you, this is not an excuse about being involved. You can still write letters, send cards, call, text, instant message and email. Ask about school, sports or their social life, by not staying involved in their lives can give them the idea they are not important and not loved by you.
